Homecoming

It's really beautiful, isn't it? The moment your heart melts and springs to life The thought of them and being in their presence It's enough to make you dance like a fool

Addendum

After having finally met my person and losing them within about a month's time, I've been thinking a lot. My immediate conclusion was to deem this world unworthy of my gifts, forsake humanity, and resolve myself to becoming a ghost; someone who only exists inwardly. I vowed to never love again, and if I were to get my life together such that I become valuable in the eyes of the dating market, I would reject any and all advances outright. I would no longer be able to know for sure whether someone desires me for who I am or for what I could provide. And given the fashion in which I was broken up with, I'm not entirely convinced I wasn't going to be taken advantage of anyways. I was born to be a lover. I love to serve. I deeply crave connection and affection, both giving and receiving. I long to pledge my heart to someone who will reciprocate my love and kindness. I would be more than willing to emotionally, financially, and intellectually support whoever would be so darin...

Friends of Distant Stars (fully explained)

Amongst far away decades 7 (through the years and far away) - This references a song done by the Eminence Symphony Orchestra in attribution to 5 Centimeters per second. The stars dance in rejoice of your elegance 11 - no outside references, I just like stars lol When the golden hour fades 7 (the Daguerreian process) - This line does reference Jake's song titled Golden Hour. It also references the actual golden hour from the game Life is Strange. The silver light comes to reflect your brilliance 11 (the dormant daughter) - this makes reference to princess Yue and her tragic story from avatar the last air bender. Your divine eloquence rings 7 (we drank a toast to innocence) - the word eloquence references a specific Code Geass moment in which Lelouch speaks of a memory he has of his best friend, Suzaku, describing happiness as glass. The word eloquence also makes reference to a very depressing song titled Same Auld Lang Syne by Dan Fogelberg. In the grand beauty of our vast galaxy 11...

I'm sorry

To my beautiful future wife, I'm sorry. I'm sorry we're not together. I'm sorry for all the things that you've been through that I couldn't be there for you.  I'm sorry for all the missed birthdays, holidays, workdays, and rest days I wasn't there supporting you.  I'm sorry for all the nights I couldn't be there to soothe you to sleep and hold you through. I'm sorry for all the accomplishments that you've made that I wasn't there to cheer you on for.  I'm sorry for all the loss you've been through that I couldn't hold you in my arms and tell you how everything was going to be okay, even if neither of us knew it would. I'm sorry for all the lazy, rainy afternoons that I couldn't be there to cuddle you and stroke your hair while you napped. I'm sorry for all the hectic days that I couldn't do things for you to make them easier for you. I'm sorry for all the days or nights you might have worked hard and c...

To my Dearly Beloved

To my Dearly Beloved, I adore your laugh And cherish your smile. Won't you please come And stay awhile? I'll be your other half And walk many a mile, If you'll hold my hand Like it won't go out of style. If we were birds In this endless blue sky I would love you All the same. For a lifetime together I'd be so happy I'd cry. I only wish I knew your name.

Family among stars

Image
A teeming galaxy among infinite space A lonely planet among a teeming galaxy A loving family among a lonely planet A loved soul among a loving family As I Sit here admiring you from this earthly plane I notice How your onyx eyes catch the light Striking, intriguing Like a black hole in the endless void Even light Can't help but to dance amongst beauty But you Never were one for waiting That's why I'll be alone when I reach out At the end of time and existence When we look out into the grand and infinite I will be there to hold your hand Will you be there to hold mine?

5 Centimeters Per Second

Image
Spoilers for all of 5 Centimeters Per Second 5 Centimeters Per Second, for most, would seem to be a tragedy. And as a standalone movie, it is. However, the manga that came out after the movie's release expanded upon the story and gives us a more holistic understanding of everything that really went on. We not only get to see more depth in the original story told by the movie through the manga, but also, the manga includes a story arc not seen or referenced in the movie at all. Set 10 years after they had graduated high school, Kanae and Takaki would cross paths one more time, giving them both one more chance. But would fate be kind to them this time? After reviewing the manga once more, I have been able to definitively understand and determine exactly what happens in the story of 5 Centimeters Per Second. Of Akari and Takaki, we know who stopped responding to letters first. We know the exact contents of the letter Akari wrote to Takaki but didn't give to him the last day they w...
